Home-based Satellite Learning Center
Horizons Phuket community believe that learning is not something that is relegated to the “school” but inhabits every aspect of community and living. Every home at Horizons Phuket contains a Satellite Learning Center shared by every member of the family. Each Horizons resident is a lifelong learner. The Satellite Learning Centers are connected by high-speed fiber optic cable to the entire community. That means, each home has a video link to every other home, to the various learning centers and to the Town Center. Each satellite Learning Center is a base for receiving and sending quality programs and students can stay connected with each other and to teachers locally and globally around the clock. With the Satellite Learning Center, the concept of School as the Center of Community has been replaced by a 21st century concept of Learning at the Center of the Community.
